SSH has been working closely with the Henry B. González Convention Center (HBGCC) and conference hotel staff to ensure we provide an inclusive, accessible, and safe environment for all attendees. Our goal is to prioritize accessibility so anyone can attend the 2026 International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare.
Below is some important information and resources to help assist you in navigating the meeting and the city of San Antonio.
ACCESSIBILITY SERVICES & ACCOMMODATIONS AVAILABLE AT IMSH
Wheelchair and Scooter Rentals – Wheelchair and scooter rentals may be secured through the following company by any attendee. Located just a block from the Alamo and Riverwalk, Tom’s specializes in wheelchair and mobility scooter rental services. Delivery is available to hotels and the convention center. ADDITIONAL SPACE AND AVAILABLE SERVICES AT CONVENTION CENTER
Elevator Location – Elevators on Level 1 at HBGCC can be found Outside Hall 1, near IMSH Registration and SSH Central, near Hall 4B, and in the West Lobby
Restrooms – All public restrooms in the HBGCC and conference hotels are accessible. Single occupant/family restrooms at the HBGCC are available on Level 1 near Hall 1 (near IMSH registration and SSH Central) and near Hall 4A; on Level 2 near rooms 208, 221, and 225; on Level 3 outside the Stars at Night Ballroom, HemisFair Ballroom and near room 301.
Lactation Rooms – Lactation rooms are open during meeting hours and will close after the last session of each day. The HBGCC lactation rooms can be found on Level 1, near Hall 4a and on Level 2, near Room 218.
First Aid – First Aid office is located on Level 1 at HBGCC can be found Outside Hall 1
Safety/Security – First Aid office is located on Level 1 at HBGCC can be found Outside Hall 1
DIETARY CONSIDERATIONS
The SSH team is working closely with our catering partners to provide attendees with a variety of food options that will accommodate many dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, as well as non-alcoholic beverages. We have requested clear labeling on all food items.
Prior to arrival onsite at IMSH, we will provide a listing of offered meals indicating dietary needs on the IMSH website.
